Wil Wortmann
Asst. Head Coach, Run Game Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach & Off-Season Coordinator
Bio:
Coach Wortmann is entering his fifth year here at Deer Creek, previously he was at Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, OK for 5 years and for 3 years he was at Bishop McGuinness High School in Oklahoma City, OK. His primary responsibilities on the staff are Asst. Head Coach, Run Game Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach & Off-Season Coordinator. Wil has a beautiful wife Melody and three great kid's Megan, Liam & Taylor. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family & friends, as well as attending Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City. Coach Wortmann's motto for his players and himself is: -The Easy way is the Hard way.--as a means to help keep focus and stay motivated especially when times get tough.

John Lang
Defensive Coordinator & Defensive Backs Coach

Coach John Lang is back for his fifth season at Deer Creek and second season as Defensive Coordinator. After playing football for Marlow High School, which ended as state runner up his senior year, Lang went on to play as a Defensive Lineman for the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Before joining the Antlers, Coach Lang assisted in starting the football program at Seeworth Academy in OKC, Oklahoma where he served as Head Coach and Athletic Director for one year. When he has free time, he enjoys spending it with his beautiful wife Emily and his son, two year old Wyatt Christopher. In the classroom at Deer Creek, Coach Lang teaches Art and Photography.

JP Holman
Running Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator
Bio:
Coach Holman is entering his second year here at Deer Creek. He previously spent 2 years as the head baseball coach at Putnam City West High School in Bethany, Ok., and 4 years on the baseball staff at Edmond Santa Fe High School. He also spent the Summer of 2009 as a coach for the Oklahoma City Ambassadors, a traveling ministry baseball team. His primary responsibilities on the coaching staff include Running Backs and Special Teams Coordinator. Coach Holman has been married to his beautiful wife LeAnna for 5 years. When he is not coaching he enjoys playing golf, fishing and watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas Rangers. Coach Holman and LeAnna attend Church of the Harvest in Oklahoma City. He believes that the strong relationships built on trust between he and his players are the reasons he continues coaching. ?You can hate me now, but you?ll thank me later.?

Coach Redus is entering his first year at Deer Creek High School previously he was at Guthrie High School for ten years, Western Heights for one year, and Edmond Memorial for three years. He helped coach Guthrie to two state championships in 2002 and 2007. His primary responsibility on the coaching staff is coaching inside linebackers. He is married to his beautiful wife Michelle of nineteen years and they have three kids, Josh (11), Carley (9), and Kelcy (6). In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, following college football and reading Clive Cussler and James Patterson novels.

Video/Technology Coordinator & Tight Ends Coach

Coach Hyde is entering his second year here at Deer Creek, previously he was at Jarman Middle School in Midwest City, OK for 1 year and for 10 years he was at Lawton High School in Lawton, OK. His primary responsibilities on the staff are handling all the technology and video needs on staff to include taking stats, setting up video cameras for games, swapping tape with opposing coaches, updating stat websites for the team, making copies of game films, updating the team website, updating the computers in the office as needed and any other responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. He has a beautiful wife Liz and two wonderful daughter's Kelsey and Abigail. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and following college football his two favorite teams are the Oklahoma Sooners and Penn State Nittany Lions. He also volunteers his time with the Oklahoma Fellowship of Christian Athletes doing their website, taking pictures and video of different events, and going to summer camps.

Jonathan Keathly
Head Coach
Bio:
Coach Jonathan Keathly is beginning his second year on the Deer Creek football staff. He has served as a football coach for 6 years, and an educator for 9. Previously, he worked in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at Coppell and Frisco. This year he will be the head freshman coach, as well as assisting with the varsity on Friday nights. Coach Keathly has been married to his beautiful wife Cindy for 8 years, and they have a daughter Anabelle who is 2. Coach Keathly loves to spend time with his wife and daughter, read good books, go to OSU games, and to try to be athletic on occasion. He has been thrilled to be a part of the Deer Creek district and community for the past year and is looking forward to the future.

Marc Pense
Head Coach
Bio:
Coach Pense is entering his 11th year at Deer Creek. He is currently the head 8th grade football coach and assistant 7th grade football coach. He has coached quarterbacks and running backs, receivers, and defensive backs. Coach Pense is also the head middle school baseball coach at Deer Creek. He also leads the middle school FCA huddle at DCMS. He is married to his beautiful wife of 14 years, Kendra, and has two children, Brett (6) and Jill (5). When he?s not coaching, he stays active by keeping up with his kids? activities. In his spare time Coach Pense enjoys spending time with his family, going fishing, and attending OU sporting events.

Jim Sutton
7th Grade Head Coach
Bio:
Coach Sutton is entering his 32nd year here at Deer Creek. Presently he is the 7th grade head coach. He has coached football at all levels 7-12, 31 years at the middle school level, both 7th and 8th grade head, has been 9th grade head and 12 years as a varisty assistant. He has coached defensive ends and outside linebackers on defense and quaterbacks, running backs and recievers on offense at the varisty level. As the middle school level he has coached all positions both offensively and defensively. He and his wife sponsered the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for ten years having meetings every Wednesday night in homes hosted by families of members. He has two children, both Deer Creek graduates, Jeremy and Amy. He enjoys bird watching and spending time with his three grandchildern.
